Today's Reflection (Tuesday, Week 10)

The 3 learner profile traits I have shown during the exhibition process are:
  • Risk-taker
I was risk-taker to practice hard and film doing the whole song for the song "One Day".
  • Communicator
I was communicator because I shared my ideas on meetings and asked questions and talked to my teachers and friends.
  • Thinker
I was thinker when I had internet issues, misunderstandings and other problems. I thought of a solution very fast.

The learner profile traits that I'm working on improving is Balanced. I am trying to balance the amout of things I'm doing because I'm sometimes working so hard on writing component, and other things and sometimes I'm doing just fine or less so I'm going to balance it.

Thank you and don't use too much plastic!

Today's Reflection (Monday, Week 10)

Today, we had a class zoom meeting. We talked about how to do a virtual exhibition. Our teacher shared her screen and explained how to set our website and other stuff. I found out that the exhibition is on my birthday! I'm so excited!

I did a lot of organising my notes and put it on my website knowledge page. I had so many notes so it took a long time. if you want to check it out, then go to my knowledge page! There are separate pages for Lines of Inquiry 1, Lines of Inquiry 2 and Lines of Inquiry 3.

Today's read aloud was so good! Someone stole a customer's car in the motel and Mr Yao(head of the motel) and the police officer thinks that the black people did it. The police man even asked many question to a nice guy who's black. I think it's unfair. I hate Mr Yao and that police officer. We also found out that Jason(Mr Yao's son) likes Mia! He gave her flower but Mia said she hate him. Jason felt bad so he went home. I think Jason was very upset but I also think that Mia was brave. I still think that Jason continues liking Mia. I can't wait to read the next chapter!

Thank you and stay safe!

My highlight of the week was the read loud. The story was AMAZING!

I am proud of my writing component editing and final draft. I think I did pretty well.

I accomplished all my goal and submitted all the work but I uploaded my writing final draft late because I misunderstood something...

My 3 main goals for next week is:
  • Time management
I will always be aware of time.
  • Talk more in meetings.
I will share my ideas more.
  • Work hard on my writing component.
I will do my best!

Thank you!

Today, the best thing was the read aloud. The story was amazing! When Mia(the main character) was working at the front desk in the motel then suddenly a drunk man came and asked for a room but he was very weird. Mia wanted to get her parents and asked the man to wait outside but the man grabbed her clothes. I was liked OMG! This book is the BEST! Also Mia's uncle(not a real uncle) came to her motel with a broken car. The uncle talked about loan sharks!
Anyway, This book is AMAZING! It might br better than "Walk Two Moons".

Our teacher gave us a buddy and we checked each other's writing. My buddy was Grace. She checked my writing but unfortunately, Grace's writing was not done. My writing is getting better and better!

I also had a video chat with dance group but Izzie couldn't join today and Hye Min left when we started. So there were only Grace and me... We just danced a few times.

I also did math and Zoom meeting. In Zoom meeting, we talked about our new topic. I was like What? We're still doing our exhibition? But my teacher said we're starting a new topic because our exhibition is going to be late. It was about Invention and Innovation. It was quite interesting.

Thank you!

Today, I did some research at my art time because my art piece is already done. I didn't get many information but I found a website that might help me.

I also did my editing for my draft of writing component. I changed some parts and drew more pictures. I think my story is turning very good. I can't wait to make my final draft and make a book.

I did my math and I some issues but I figured it out. I learned about exponents. I always get confused so I think I need to work on that more.

It was a great day.Thank you ;)

This week's highlight was the cooking class. We made Mac & Cheese and it was so delicious.

I am very proud of my writing component draft. I finished it in 3 days and it's quite long and I'm happy about that.

This week, I think I achieved my goals. I completed and posted everything I need. My goal for next week is finishing my writing component final draft and finishing my art. I want to achieve these goals by using my time well.

I am so happy that Friday is holiday! Thank you and have a nice weekend!

Today, I had no time to research but I focused a lot on my writing component. I might wrote more than yesterday!! I am almost done with it and I am so excited about it.(I don't know why) I am about to start writing the end part and I'm done!

I  also worked a little bit on my art component. I think tomorrow, I have time to start painting because tomorrow is the single subject day. I am looking forward to my finished work.

Today, my homeroom teacher started to reading a new book for our read aloud. It is call "Front Desk". I think this book will be amazing like the last book. The last book was called "Walk Two Moons". I think that is the best book in my whole world. Everyone in the class loved it. If you're interested, read it! I am can't wait  to hear the next chapter!

I also did math, daily exercise and write this blog. Thank you!

Today, I couldn't research but I focused a lot on my draft for my writing component. I  started writing my draft on my notebook that I found :) I think I did pretty well today for my writing. I still have Tuesday and Thursday to finish it.

I also had a Zoom meeting with the whole class. We talked about draft for writing. (Which I already talked about) We asked some questions. I think a lot of us were sleepy because we didn't talk much. I was sleepy too ;>

It was pretty good day for me. Thank you!

Week 7 Reflection

This week, I started and finished my plan for component. I worked so hard on this. I actually searched the names for the kids :> I am going to write a story that can tell the reader that there's plastic in our oceans and beaches and we have to do something and tell that there's many people already starting to think and taking action about plastic pollution. I think I am going to make a small book if we're doing exhibition in the school but if we're doing it online, then I need to scan the book or write it online...

I also finished my math component final draft. (I couldn't upload it here because it was PDF...) I added many pictures and emojis so it's not boring. I matched the colours of graph to light blue because the theme is ocean! I also made the background the beautiful beach where there's no plastic. I don't know where it is though... I really like Canva because there's everything I need and there's so many options!

This is my plan for writing component. Hope you like it!
I continued my research and I think it's going pretty well. This week, I found a lot of sources for lines of Inquiry 1 and 2. I actually didn't focus on lines of 3 because I already got a lot.

For art, I haven't do much but I started screeching on my canvas. I hope I don't mess up when I'm waiting!!!

This week, I think I did a lot of work. It was an awesome week but I'm really tired so I'm going to rest on the weekends. Hope you have a great weekend! Thank you!
